Three years ago I lost my best friend. He was a better friend to me than I was to him. I still miss him every single day and I still blame myself every day. I didn’t deserve a horse like him and he deserved so much better than me.

What a beauty he was. The best thing about horses is their tolerance and forgiveness of our human ways.

ReplyDeleteAnniversaries like these are so hard. Remembering the good times helps for me. You shouldn't beat yourself up so much.
